What’s Happening around the farm.
Thank you for checking out our new site. For those of you that watched the T-Bone Christmas video, it had over 2k views. I am not sure how that happened but we do appreciate. T-Bone is almost four months old. We have a new member, his name is AI and he is two weeks old. He and his mom are doing great. There are two more calves expected in early and mid March. Stay Tuned.
On 02-14-26 we bought a bottle calf at the sale barn due to his momma prolapsing. Little did we know that the calf never got colostrum she needed when she was first born. (The seller knew this but, of course, didn't say anything). We get her home that night and she doesn't want to eat. Luckily I was off that Monday an took her to the Vet who said she had sepsis on only had a 10% chance to live. She was so sick that she was having seizures. Follow her photo journey of hopefully getting well.

As you can see in this picture her sides are sunken in meaning an empty belly. The vet gave me some meds that supposedly makes her hungry.

So as of 03-05-26 “Hali” is doing better but she doesn’t like to eat much. I have to modify a bottle in order to get the milk down. Got some more meds from the vet to try for a week or so, so we will see. She is getting stronger and is actually running away from me when I go to feed her. Like i said I “HAVE TO MAKE HER DRINK” so I probably would run away from me too. I do believe if I didn’t make her take the milk she would have already passed away.
